Art Course Supply List

1. Canvas

• A size of your choosing. If you are going to add epoxy resin to the piece I prefer these Level 2 Canvas or Level 3 Canvas

3. Alcohol Inks

• Pick 2 to 5 colors. I prefer the brands Piñata or Tim Holtz Ranger Ink(https://amzn.to/3Xffz7I or https://amzn.to/3YzRdq8)

4. Acrylic Paint

• You will need white paint to mix into a color for the background as well as multiple "focal colors". I prefer the folk art brand.

5. Sponge Brushes and a palette knife

• I typically get mine at Michaels, they have a good mixture of wide and narrow sponges (https://www.michaels.com/product/foam-brush-variety-25-piece-set-by-craft-smart-10194250?michaelsStore=9876&inv=20 or https://amzn.to/3JPTRE9)

6. Gold Leaf Adhesive

• This is available at Dick Blick art stores or on Amazon (https://amzn.to/40x3fTb)

7. Gold or Silver Leaf (or both)

• You will need 2 packs (https://amzn.to/3x7MUXE)

8. Glitter (optional)

• I typically use iridescent glitter plus gold or silver glitter. These can be purchased at Michaels stores (https://www.michaels.com/product/extra-fine-glitter-by-recollections-45oz-10185503?michaelsStore=9876&inv=1).
• If you are using iridescent glitter, I use a glitter paint to go with them (https://www.michaels.com/product/glitter-paint-by-craft-smart-2oz-10546317?michaelsStore=9876&inv=4)

10. Isopropyl Alcohol (at least 91%)

• This can be purchased at local pharmacy like CVS

11. Paper plates

12. Art Resin (optional)

• This is the glossy finish I pour on my finished art.
• IT IS EXPENSIVE! YOU DO NOT HAVE TO USE THIS ITEM.
• If you do really love your piece, and want to coat it in ultra shiny art resin, it is available at Dick Blick art stores or on amazon. You will have to purchase quantity depending on the size of your canvas.
• *** If you are using resin, you will need a measuring cup and a stir stick (I use the free stir sticks from the paint section at Lowes)
